Wild Salmon – Wild Rivers

The Wild Salmon – Wild Rivers initiative is a conservation partnership led by the Atlantic Salmon Federation in collaboration with Hooké.

This program highlights select rivers across Atlantic Canada that represent strongholds for wild Atlantic salmon and the importance of protecting the ecosystems that sustain them.

We are proud to share that the Nepisiguit River was chosen as one of only three rivers in Atlantic Canada selected for this prestigious initiative.

Being selected recognizes the Nepisiguit as:

• A river of high conservation value

• A stronghold for wild Atlantic salmon

• A watershed supported by active stewardship and community engagement

Through this partnership, awareness is raised about the importance of wild salmon conservation, and proceeds from collaborative merchandise directly support science-based conservation, habitat protection, and river stewardship efforts.
